Keepers at Home

The girls and I started the Keepers at Home handbook today.  It is similar to Girl Scouts in that you learn/study different topics such as embroidery, rubber stamping, cooking, butterflies, etc.  There is also bible verse memorization, learning about missionaries and other Christian related study.
Once they have accomplished all the requirements for a subject they earn a patch and/or a charm (for a charm bracelet).  My friend, Christy, and I are attempting to start a group, but in the meantime we are working on patches at home.  That's one of the many things I love about Keepers at Home, you can do some/all at home, with or without a troop!  Today we started our study of birds, which works well with our Science studies.  The girls learned so much and can't wait to get started in the morning!

  1. Wow! That is pretty neat. I wonder if they have something like that for boys. Justin is in Cub Scouts, but with us traveling it's so hard to be in a pack.
