History Camp

My girls are attending History Camp this week.  It's amazing all that they are doing and learning.  On the first day of camp the girls made sun prints, old fashioned toy telephones, tintype pictures, ice cream and on and on...  I love the way the pictures turned out!  A local artist showed them how to do this.  Today they learned about the Civil War and made butter and hard tack (tough biscuits that the soldiers used to eat- NOT a new favorite).  Tomorrow they will be learning how to make lace friendship bracelets.  It makes me wish I could still go to camp.  How about you??

  1. YES!! My camps were always so stinky! I don't recall ever really enjoying them at all. I picked Princess up and said, "So, do you want to go back tomorrow?" She looked at me wide eyed and said, "I want to go back right now!" Perfect answer. Those pictures are amazing. I hung the one of mine up as soon as we got home...very impressed. So pleased with how well they are doing with them. Thank you again for telling us about it!!!

  2. Catching up on your blog, finally! Mandy looks so much older just since I've last seen her, geez! :)
Love your self-pic btw...hehe. That'd probably be the only way I'd get in a picture around here. I'm usually the one taking them!
