Pumpkin Topiary

First of all, I want to thank all of you who took the time to share your ideas with me yesterday!  You are all very creative and have truly inspired me.:-)  The candlesticks will remain the same color (for now) but I did add the leaves and some pumpkins and I love it!  One is pictured at the end of the post.  I am still debating what to do with the topiary.  There are so many of your ideas that I love!
I did want to share a simple project that I made today.  My friend, Rhondamade the most beautiful pumpkin topiaries the other day and so I thought I would try some on a smaller scale with some garage sale purchases I made today.  Take a minute and stop by Rhonda's blog, though, as hers are GORGEOUS!
I bought these guys today for 50 cents:

Then I went to Wal Mart and got these fellas for $1 each:

Remove the stems, hot glue, add some pretty ribbon and this is what you get:

Aren't they fun?!  I'm not sure if I will paint the urns black or not.

Here is one of the candlesticks on my mantle. My "big sister", Robin, recommended the Fall leaves.  Thanks Robin!   They are now ready for Fall!

  2. I LOVE EVERYTHING!!

I've seen the pumpkin topiaries and definately plan on making two for my front porch. I'm going to use real pumpkins for the outside decorations so I'm just waiting for the pumpkins to arrive at Target!

I have a spare urn that would work perfectly for one of these to put near my fireplace...man you've got me so busy with projects these days...thank you for all of your inspiration!

  3. I want to make the big version of these for my porch. I've had them saved away in my crusty little brain just for this year. But alas, who knows if I'll get them done. Yours turned out so cute. Love the ribbon on the as well. Great job! Now, you wanna come to my house and help me get mine done? ':)

  7. I love your pumpkin topiaries. They are so cut and easy. I wish I could go to yard sales. I only do one or two, usually with the girls in tow, and it's not as much fun with little girls that just want stuffed animals.

  8. Yes, I am older then you so that would make me your "big" sister-I am laughing! I for some reason keep thinking I am 32! But no, I am 44! Okay that aside-
WE seriously must have been separated at birth- I (no lie) bought the SAME pumpkins at WALMART yesterday! I had bought some before there in a little wooden box but yesterday they had bigger sizes so I picked up the SAME one's you did!? Did you see they had live pumpkins there too?
Anyway, I love what you did with your finds-Your bunny with the little ribbon scarf is sooo cute (I have that SAME ribbon) I love how you put it all together like you did! Very very nice-And oh my goodness those urns/topiary are unreal! You really did hit the jackpot with your garage sale shopping! Guess I better start doing some fall decorating of my own! Your house is looking very lovely!
    Your Big Sis Robin~♥
