Just call me Speedy

I was driving too fast.  Didn't want to be late to the dentist, you know.  I saw the police car, then I saw the flashing lights, then I got to make a new friend.  Oh yeah.  Actually, he was extremely nice.  The girls thought he was great.  A new adventure.  The man even waved to them (like something out of Andy Griffith- love that show) while I scrambled around looking for my license and insurance.  "That's the case for the movies, Mom."  Thanks, Sweetie.  The officer was ever so patient and did not even lecture me.  I think he realized I was shaking in my boots.  (Yes, I was wearing boots.)  After calling in my information (or whatever they do in their car) he came walking back to me.  "I'm going to give you a warning this time.  The other cars were speeding, too, but you were going the fastest."  WHAT??!  Let me tell you, I thanked that dear man many times!  My husband still can't believe he didn't give me a ticket.  I learned my lesson and am going to try to be the model driver from now on.  It's not every day you get a break like that and I know it.  I adore you, Mr. Police Officer!  Thanks again!:)

  1. Oh my gosh!! What a close call!! I was pulled over once for not having my new sticker on my tag. The guy wasn't the nicest, but I guess he was bored that day...Hahaha!!

  8. You were quite lucky that he didn't give you a ticket. I think if a policeman pulled me over and Lexi was in the car she would just start bawling cause I would have done something wrong! She always waves at them in their cars and gets really excited when they wave back!

  9. too funny.........I ALWAYS get the tickets in our family. ean can go for 6 MONTHS without renewing his tag or inspection sticker. I went 1 day without my instpection sticker and got busted...the best part? It was in my glove box the whole time...I'd just forgotten to put it on. The worst part? The clerk of the court says cops can SEE that when they look everything up.....yeah.......luckily for me, they threw the case out and I didn't have to pay the $272 FINE.

  10. Glad you escaped with a warning! I think I've had a few of those. I'm a little on the "speedy gonzales" side too. I like to get places in a timely manner. ☺

Hope you (continue) to have a great day!!

  13. Hey there Speedy! You definitely lucked out with a warning! I have never been pulled over (knock on wood) but I can already predict that I will most likely cry and/or babble on incoherently while simultaneously shakin' in my boots. :-) And, how funny that he said you were going the fastest! I believe that means you get the checkered flag....hehe!
