We got off to a slow start this morning, but things are HOPPING now! I got another BIG frame! $3!!!
I got this comforter at TJ Maxx- on clearance.:) I think it looks great with the table cloth that my Nana embroidered for us.
Katie is having a lot of fun working on her 9 patch quilt square. The girls started making one as part of our Prairie Primer/ On the Banks of Plum Creek studies. Hand sewing is not my specialty, in fact all sewing scares me, but it is fun to watch them.
I bought a box of these for me- I mean my girls!:) What is with the sharpener on the back, though? Why do they even bother?
Oh, and these! Did you know they were called Cootie Catchers? Sweet Heather sent these to my girls. I love how it can tell your future.:)
So much fun Lori! Love those sweet little hands working sew hard :) Glad you guys are having so much fun.
ReplyDeleteOh my how cute does she look with her sewing needle! LOVE it! Creativity runs in the family :)

ReplyDeleteI LOVE the comforter and the table cloth...
Katie's quilt looks like it's going to be fabulous!
If you have a Pharoah in your home does that make you the Queen of the Nile? (I'm the Queen of DENIAL!)
Looks like you are having a wonderful weekend!
Robin~♥
Ha! I've always wondered why they bother wrapping crayons in paper? I guess it gives the kids something to peel off and leave on the floor.
ReplyDeleteHi Lori
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of your Pharoah making breakfast. Pancakes sound wonderful. I can't wait to see what you have in mind for the frame. $3 was a bargain. Your Nana's tablecloth is beautiful. It looks perfect with the comforter. Katie looks quite the little seamstress. Her quilt is looking great. You ARE wonderful at stitching too. Those napkins you embroidered for me are perfect. I love the art book too. It looks full of such super ideas.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend. Speak to you soon.

I love all of the artsy activities Lori! I never got the sharpener on the crayon box either, tee hee. How nice of the Pharoh to make you all pancakes too, what a sweetie ;-) Can't wait to see your little ones finished quilt, what a fun thing to do. Sewing scares me too, hahahahaha.
ReplyDeleteJamie :)
I love seeing Katie sew...look at her concentration! The art photos are terrific.
ReplyDeleteMy kids have made 'fortune tellers' for years....I never have heard them called 'cootie catchers' before...too funny!
Great frame and the price...can't be beat!!
ReplyDeleteLilly wants to help sew sometimes. Like when I am making yo-yo's. I think its a great thing to know how to do.
Can't wait to see what you do with that frame. Oh, your husband is precious for letting you take that photo AND for cooking pancakes!! Love the quilt, too!!
Elise
