What's New with You?

Little Bit funky is giving away one of these darling pillows! Stop by for a chance to win!

Summer is coming to a close. I am ready to welcome Fall, but before we do we need to make a few more memories with friends... Sweet girls, but yes, their Mom is much more "open minded" than me- lol!:)

I love Aveda. Everything they make smells wonderful! This is the newest product I have tried and it is amazing! It makes your hair silky soft- even hair with lots of curl (like me)!
My little one loves to shop! So, when we can't make it to the mall, we play this!
A friend recommended this movie to me. This man's story is such a wonderful testimony! It is a must see. His Dad went into the deepest part of the jungle to tell natives about God. Sadly, he and his friends were killed. The wives stayed and were able to reach the women in the tribe. This man tells the story of how he grew up with the natives.

I just finished this book and really enjoyed it!
Did you watch this on Sunday? "There Goes the Neighborhood"? It is a new reality show and it is HARSH! These people compete against their neighbors without electricity or the outside world. See the wall in the picture? It separates them from the world. It was hard to watch as these people are friends and now they have to vote them off the show. I see a lot of "For Sale" signs going up in their future...

What's new with you?

  1. That show sounds horrible...why do people do that to themselves, tee hee. Let's see...we just watched 'Bolt' and loved it! Rhino was hilarious!

  2. My daughter worked at an Aveda salon and we got lots of good products! She's now a SAHM so no more products at good prices.
Just finished 2 bedrooms in the basement this past week and shampooed the carpet today. Feeling good about it!

  3. Being I've been a little down and out -I have been reading magazines... Craft magazines that is, and getting lots of fun ideas to share soon!
I slept most the day and read tonight-Hope to be on the mend tomorrow and back to normal!
Ronnie made homemade gluten free pizza, a gluten free cherry pie and gluten free split pea soup! She's on a roll and has been eating gluten free for a few months now! It's nice to have someone else in the house eat and bake gluten free!
Hope you have a wonderful week!

  4. Hi Lori
Great to see and hear about what's been going on with you. That movie about the jungle sounds tragic but very interesting. I'll have to look out for that. There goes the Neighborhood sounds a strange show but something I would have to watch. We will probably get it over here in about 100 years!! LOL
Mandy looks very happy with her friends. Glad you are all enjoying the end of summer.

As for life, the kids started school last week and I started back to work PT. Those 5 am wakeup calls are not fun.

  9. I will definitely check out that giveaway! Thanks a bunch, Lori!

Never tried Aveda shampoo before, but it sounds like a real keeper to me! That movie sounds like something the whole family would enjoy. Yes, I did see "There Goes the Neighborhood" on Sunday and felt much like you do. I think friendships are going to be ruined...and at what cost? Enjoy your day and make it a good one!
