Ice Storm 2010
This is what happens when the lights go out....
Yes, we have quite a storm headed our way. We had to stock up on supplies.:) The girls are so excited you would think we were going to Disney World! They are ready to camp out in front of the fire and dive into the junk food.:) I am not so excited. We had an ice storm last year and lost power for.... too long. I am not a camper, my friends. Not even when it's camping in my house. BUT, I am learning to "savor"! So, I believe I am ready for this adventure.:)
It is heading our way today.....right now. It looks like my area might be more rain and I am keeping my fingers crossed. I also hope everyone keeps their power.
ReplyDeleteooh man! will be praying if you do lose power it is not for that long! ((huggs)) and yummy supplies!
ReplyDeleteI Love those kind of days once in a while...I love your food choices-My kids would be in Junk Food Heaven!!!
ReplyDeleteStay warm~
My son lives in Oklahoma and he has done his ice storm shopping too! Good luck...hope you don't lose power (for your sake!).
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you will have a great time with those yummy treats -- storm or not. Be safe. XOXO
ReplyDeleteat least you have paper plates so you don't have to worry about washing anything later! good luck!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun way to "weather the storm"!!!
ReplyDeleteStay warm :)
{p.s. read your last post and know that I'll be wishing you a speedy recovery and praying for a clean bill of health!!}
I remember the ice storm in 2001 when we lived in AR...we had no power for almost a week! Good thing you are prepared with some yummy snacks!

Hope you don't lose power-good luck Lori!
ReplyDeleteOh, I do not handle lack of power well : ) Prayerfully, we will not lose it again this year. Two weeks out last year. ugh. I'm praying for you about the other, too, Sweetie!
ReplyDeleteLori
We had the worst ice storm ever here last year. I had been wondering if you were in the path of the ice...I'll be keeping you in my prayers dear friend :)
ReplyDeleteLove you...big hugs...Jerelene
Oh, I like all you stocked up on! So . . . just put on those snow shoes, climb over the fence, and make your way to my house;o)
ReplyDeleteAlicia
How are you doing? How is/was the storm? Hope all is well! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lori

Those goodies are called "staples" in our home!!!
ReplyDeleteI too hope you don't lose power for long...Just enough time that it is fun~♥
I read about the storm coming your way when I was in Spokane this morning. Always thinking about you~
Love,
Me~
We're supposed to get the snow/ice too - it snowed here for a few minutes (just long enough to get the kids excited) and then stopped. I'm afraid that was the calm before the storm. We're preparing for a long day tomorrow, but REALLY hope it clears before Sunday when we are supposed to fly out to Vegas...
ReplyDeleteHope ya'll enjoy all that yummy junk food - even if you aren't snowed in...
Looks like you know how to make good of a potentially bad situation. Hope it wasn't too severe! Your daughers were excited about it because you're such a good mom!
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Your Doritos look yummy! You'll have to let me know if they're good. I might have to try them sometime!
ReplyDeleteI hope you all are now through the storm and that you did not lose power! Stay warm by the fire...
ReplyDeleteI just read about your diagnosis...I am thinking about you and praying for you Lori! I hope everything will by OK.
xo,
annie
