Message in a Bottle

A Message in a Bottle...

sent off by a young lady desiring to make new friends.:)

We wonder where it is now?

Just think of all the sea creatures it will encounter...

Sharks, whales, dolphins!

Playing "The Amazing Race" game for the Wii. I found it at Wal
Mart and highly recommend it! Love that show...

Jellyfish mines were all over the beach. I have never seen anything like it. The oil spill aftermath?

Mandy even snuck in some body surfing.
It snowed at home. I was bummed.

We love the Alabama Gulf Coast even though I am an East coast girl.

We packed for winter. Someone forgot to tell the beach.

We stay at Martinique in Fort Morgan and it is lovely. Even the signs are charming.

I love this picture. I adore my family. We do have "bumps in the road" but that makes the good times that much sweeter.

We celebrated the girls' birthdays.

Wish they always got along this well!

Good times.

Do you say "cha cha cha" after you sing the birthday song?

They were so excited.:)

Buttercream or whipped icing?

My parents play with real candy in Candyland. If you land on certain spots
you get a treat. Genius. Now everyone wants to play.

Here is a little trip through "our" house. Wish it really was mine!
Our bedroom...

Little cutie in the girls' room. The Crow's Nest...

Katie slept in the daybed as there was a tiny spider on the head
board of her bed at bedtime on our first night. I was able to "slay" the dragon, but it makes you wonder...

Katie brought the argyle style pillow (left) from home and it matched
perfectly! The crisp, white with the pink and green was so lovely. sigh...

Sitting area on the second floor.

Do you see the top landing? That's the girls' room.

I love the pot rack. The owner really has the most wonderful taste. She liked "The Help", too! I met her at the pool last May. Lovely lady.

Great spot for blogging. If I just had more time. Plus, my computer was at home. I love my keyboard. The "finger thing" for laptops is not for me.
Katie made the "BEACH" sign for my Mom.:)

The clouds started coming in and we got a bit of rain.
The temperatures dropped on Black Friday.

Winter arrived in the South.

We did a bit of school work. The girls were not thrilled. We are studying ocean animals and what better place than the beach?

The Pink Flamingo

Shopping in Fairhope, AL. Charming!

Beignets by the fountain...

They were divine! Good thing I don't know how to make them...

It's so nice to be home again. It was fun to get away but Christmas preparations wait for no one. I have a To Do list that that would curl
your toes!

  2. Looks absolutely blissful! I'm going to have to check out the Amazing Race for the Wii. We love that show! Oh--and we play Candyland with real candy. In fact, until the past few months, it was the ONLY game my youngest (who is nearly 10) would play--because of the candy.

  6. Hi Lori
Oh goodness The Pink Flamingo looks such a lovely house. I enjoyed peeping inside. Glad you had a fun time celebrating their birthdays and managed to get some beautiful pictures of them. The cake looked so good. The Beach sign Katie made is really pretty. She did a great job. Mandy was brave body surfing, she is a real action girl.
