Treating Yourself without Food

45 minutes on the elliptical.
Better than apple pie.
Seriously.

If you're joining me on my journey, hurrah for you!
You are allowed to treat yourself.
But NOT with food.
Target has some fun Champion exercise attire on sale this week. $7!
I bought this shirt in the blue (below) and the hot pink.
Happy colors.
Grab a pair of the Champion capri pants, too. They feel great and once you put them on you KNOW you are ready to exercise. Leave the fat pants in the closet. You won't be wearing them much longer.:)

Today, Justin Bieber and Maroon 5 came with me. I do lots of talking with God, too. Who do you have on your playlist? Suggestions SO welcome!


Do not forget to drink water! It's so important for hydration, but even more importantly it's important to your blood flow. Without water, your blood becomes sluggish and makes your heart work harder. Bad news. Drink. Water. Dear. Friends.

We are off to enjoy sushi! I know I said no food, but you have to eat.:) California Rolls are a yummy and healthy treat! Try not to use soy sauce, if you can. Love you guys!

    Thanks for the water advice. I definately need to drink less tea and more water. We just got back from our wallk. Spring has sprung! Yipppeee

    I try to get to the gym 3x's a week and do something else the other 2. My pregnancy w/Jillian left me with high blood pressure. I have to work out or I feel yucky.

    You have a great attitude towards it and it helps having a fun play list ;)

    P.S. We use Bragg Liquid Aminos {natural soy sauce alternative} which is awesome!! You can get some at Sprouts or any "healthier" grocery store. My hubby "floats" everything in soy; now he uses this and you'd never know the difference.

  3. I'm cheering you right on to that finish line, Lori...rememeber...TRUST and BELIEVE! You can do ANYTHING you put your mind to! I drink water all the time and it makes you feel so much better.

  6. Ok, I'm with you Lori. Thanks for the inspiration. I am Catholic and I gave up Diet Coke and Facebook for Lent. Need something to occupy my time so I'm coming along on your journey and exercising, drinking water and eating healthy. Do you have a contract I can sign on the dotted line - ah haaa.   7. Hey hey Lori, I've been in super get healthy mode this year too...yay for us! I've been working out a lot after a 2 1/2 year hiatus (of just really inconsistent work outs since my 'baby' was born) and eating really healthy too. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies nibbling here and there. Good luck to you, we can motivate each other...but we definitely deserve treats because we are sweet ;) ;)
