Being a Hero to Your Kids
A friend of mine, who is a counselor, found a copy of this book at a used book store. She was telling me how wonderful it was and that she wished she could find more copies of it. One of the main parts of the book was about getting on your child's level while spending time together. Without even intending to, I have been doing this a bit lately. Talk about fun! Seeing the Justin Bieber movie with my girls (We danced together in our seats!) and "performing" with our new Wii game (they forgave me for beating their scores and we are now quite the dance crew!) was amazing! Have I been their hero? I'm not sure, but tonight Mandy told me that these were some of the best times EVER. Top that, Wonder Woman.:)
Way to go, girl! That is awesome. When I say, "Let's do Just Dance!" my girls look at me like I am crazy and then they get so excited. thanks for the inspiration. THAT is what I am doing tonight. xoxo
ReplyDeleteAwww, that's so great! I confess, I need to do that more. Sometimes I get so busy doing boring household chores that I forget to sit down and smell the.....Lincoln Logs? HA!
ReplyDeleteKudos to you! I love having 'alone time' with my kids.....amazing times...go tooooo fast!
ReplyDeleteThat is AWESOME! I have been trying not to say things like, "I have work I have to do. I can't play with you now." Who wants to fold the laundry anyway?
