Freshly picked berries, Mini Golf and Cinderella

June 21st marks the beginning of summer (and my sister's birthday), but to me summer is already here.

Miniature golf has been played.

Berries have been picked. (Complete with rooster paparazzi moments and leaving the house without make-up.  We all do what we have to do.)

Shopping for sun dresses.  For me!

My parents came for a week.  It was over *way* too quickly.

Katie performed in Cinderella.  (Here she is with her friends on the right side.)  This is an "illegal" photograph.  Shoot me.  (get it?;) )

Another naughty shot.  I thought it would be alright as long as I didn't use a flash.  Bad me.  (I will not say "my bad".  Despise that expression along with "back in the day".)

I have known the Prince for many years.  He looks quite haughty but what a wonderful young man!  He took ballet years ago to help out his sister.  Now he is in college majoring in Philosophy and Dance.  He knows where all the pretty girls are.  Smart guy!

Love watching these girls dance.  Makes me want to join in?  Maybe not.  Better stick to taking pictures.

I helped backstage and was so thankful my girls knew what was going on.  Lots of waiting and then hurry, hurry, hurry!  Once a year is too much, thanks.

I'm over the divas in the dance world.  Anyone have tips on how to deal with the queen bees?  I know they are everywhere but sheesh!

Getting lunch between performances.  This is more my speed. ;)

Cinderella had me in tears, just like very year.  It's so thrilling to see your child on stage.  All the practices, parent volunteering, and expense are worth it to me.  I just have to whine a bit, but you don't mind, right?

It meant so much to have my parents there.  They bring a party wherever they go!

Katie and Cinderella.

We ran by Coldstone Creamery to celebrate.  I got one of their Sinless Ceations (110 calories) and it was quite good.  Frozen berries in a slushy- mmmm.

So fun to see all the happy faces.  The colors, sounds and smiles were like a joyous rainbow!

I think that candid pictures are becoming my favorites.

Mandy got her braces off this month, too!

See the little girl that is laughing?  My husband just asked her if she wanted his autograph.;)

Precious moments.

Katie and a Wicked Step-Sister.  Another young lady we have known for many years.  Beautiful inside and out.

What do you have planned for this week?
I'm getting a mammogram.  Where's my party hat?

  3. Hi Lori, I loved seeing your pictures from the past week. Looks like you all had so much fun with your parents. I like the schedule of activities with all the cute drawings. That's the sort of thing I used to like doing as a child :)
Just a ordinary week for us here.
