The winner is Tristan! Congratulations!!
The book is written for ages 7-13 year old girls and covers everything from how to give yourself a manicure/pedicure, caring for your skin, make-up application (with parent approval), how to improve your body image, hair care (what works best for the unique you) and more. The focus of the book is discovering the "true beauty" inside you. Outward beauty is important as your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit but inner beauty is eternal and God given and much more crucial.
The book features questions and answers, sweet pictures, activities and prayer suggestions. Each chapter gently and beautifully encourages young girls to focus on the positive and to be aware of the beauty that they have been blessed with by the Lord.
How do you deal with acne?
What if your feet smell?
How to take care of hair that's turned green from chlorine?
Dandruff?
Shaving??
It's all in The Beauty Book. A wealth of information for young ladies. No embarrassment- just encouragement. Bible verses, quizzes (my daughter's favorite part!), personal experiences and more. It was a pleasure reviewing this book with both of my girls, ages 9 and 14.

ReplyDeletemy niece might enjoy it also!
Sounds like a wonderful book. My hair used to turn so green in the summer--sometimes it's not just from chlorine, but from the algaecide preventative they used to use.
