My Thoughts:
"It's not too late and you're never too far." Wow. Written on the cover of The Comeback, by Louie Giglio, I had to dive in and hear more. As I read the reassurance of God's love and forgiveness throughout this book I often wept tears of joy. God is SO good and the Bible is filled with examples of "the comeback". Why is that? It's because God writes the story of our comebacks! We only need to call on Him.
"When we are at our absolute lowest and weakest, Jesus invites us to hand him everything we have left. He invites us to give him our little, whatever our little is. When we give away our little, we place our confidence in him." Ever experienced your lowest? Your weakest? It's terrifying. I've been there, my friend. But you know what? When life is at it's darkest, God shines His brightest! He truly gives hope to the hopeless. He has wonderful plans for you- a comeback, fresh start, new beginning. Trust Him. Pray. Look what God did for Paul, David, Abraham and Joseph (the author masterfully details their stories, among many others, in the book.) God is the master of comebacks today, too.
Louie Giglio points out that "Spiritual death is something the enemy constantly seeks to bring to our lives. His plans is short and simple. He wants to 'steal and kill and destroy' (John 10:10) Please don't let him trick you into giving up! God has a comeback for you! Talk to the Lord and believe that there IS hope.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is feeling defeated, is enduring harsh or pain, if you've made mistakes, are grieving in the midst of impossible circumstances and/or have lost your way. It's filled with hope, help and truth. Louie Giglio honestly shares his personal experiences and trials and how God was there every step of the way. The Lord wants to be there for you, too. It's never too late, dear one.

Have you ever longed for a comeback?
We all know what it feels like to have life disappoint us and not work out as we’d hoped. We all know what it’s like to long for something different, something better, something more.
The Comeback celebrates new beginnings. It offers encouragement and perspective, and it’s for you if you feel frustrated or confused, if you’re sorrowing or in pain, if you’ve made mistakes or are grieving, if you’re disappointed or feel as though life doesn’t make sense.
The good news is that God is in the business of giving fresh starts to people. He gives hope to the hopeless. Direction to the directionless. Help to those who need help. God is always good, all the time, and God’s plans will always prevail, even when our plans don’t.
God already knows what the solutions are. No matter what kind of disappointment or grief or pain or trouble or heartache you encounter, God always offers a new beginning, a change of heart, or a powerful spiritual turnaround. God offers the way forward, and his pathways are always good.
