Catching Up

This is a catch-up post! Tristan, you are right, I am sooo behind! This is my newest book. Harlan Coben is the Master of Suspense! Missy, you would love him!

Chrissie recommended this book so I added it in my cart, too. I just started it today and I think it is going to make a huge impact on my family. Great ideas that make a lot of sense. Thanks, Chrissie!

Katie and I went to a fabulous craft show today! I had low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. These are the yummiest soaps from The Cat's Meow Handcrafted Soaps.

I am in love with this designer. Her fabrics are amazing and her designs are fresh and fun! I wanted one of everything.:)

Mandy and I took a trip to Mexico! Well, not really, but it felt like it. We went to a local restaurant that serves the most amazing authentic Mexican food! This was the dessert that Mandy chose. It turned out to not be her favorite, but it was an experience!

This was our waitress (the same lady we had, Michelle!) and she was so sweet! She spoke a bit of English and had the most charming accent.

Treats...

Vegetable quesadilla! Mmmm....

Coke from Mexico! With real sugar- not corn syrup.

Roasted pumpkin seeds on the table for snacking...

Mandy and I had a great time!

Easter!
We had a wonderful time at the Lucky Grandma's house. Lots of great food, egg hunts, and Lord of the Rings watching!

Oh my...

Fun with Aunt Angie:)

Ruby gets a manicure...

Now, I am off to watch Lost. We are learning about the man in the balloon. He is not who he pretends to be. hmmm.... Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

  3. Hi Lori
Loved seeing the Easter pictures of your family. Sounds like you had a great time there. Glad you enjoyed the craft fair with Katie and the Mexican meal with Mandy. The little dress with toadstools on is adorable.
    Ruby just gets cuter.

  8. This was a great catch-up post! I loved reading about all you've been up to!
The restaurant looked wonderful as did your Easter celebration!

I've been so busy lately too, (and then when I have the chance to blog, Blogger refuses to cooperate!) and I'm not posting nearly as much as I used to. I should do a catch-up post once or twice a month! Great idea!

    Thanks for sharing!
    Love to you,
    Eileen

  10. Oh my that little pug is so cute. I love the manicure. Don't all pugs need one? I have heard the Simplicity Parenting book is great. I need to get on that. Yummm on that Mexican food. Even with a stomach bug right now, that looks delish. :)

  12. Hi! I love Mexican food! Looks like you guys had fun!! If you could email me sometime, I need to ask you about my Nancy Drew swap partner. I sent her package out 2 weeks ago and have not received hers yet. I emailed her to see if she had received mine but she has not responded back to me. Thanks!

  13. Wonderful weekend-we are a Mexican food family!!!
(That dessert looked a bit strange, I must say-)
That first book you mentioned-someone gave me one of his novels and said I would love it. The scariest thing I have ever read was Twilight-and screamed outloud when my husband opened a door! Only because you have recommended him, I will try to read it...
Because you nailed it with The Help...so far, two weeks later, I am still processing that book! LOVED it!

  14. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that's behind ;)

Great family pictures and how fabulous that you and Mandy got to do some fun stuff together and what looks like one fabulous "trip" to Mexico!

I have a book on my nightstand that is 30 pages away from complete and has been that way for over 8 weeks :(
