Plantar Fascilitis
For years I lived in Keds. A new pair of white canvas Keds was perfect with so many things. Then, I graduated to K Swiss in college. Do they even still make those? I saw a pair on someone during my metro commute and I was in love. Well today I graduated to New Balance. The reason? I'm old and in pain. Yes, I went at it too hard during my nightly walks. Sad, I know. Go ahead and have a little giggle. It all started a few weeks ago when the bottom of my foot started to hurt. Well, being a Mom I just kept going. After all- No pain, no gain. So now I have heel pain (When I bend over it feels like someone is ripping the skin off my heel. Nice.) and my new friends are an ice pack and stretching exercises. Exercise is evil.
OH my goodness! I just went to the doctor today and he told me that is what I have too! I knew running would be bad for me. Evil exercise! Hope yours feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteI love my New Balance shoes! They are a really cool company & I think their shoes are pretty stylish. Gotta take care of those feet, I hope they feel better soon. Hugs my friend.
ReplyDeleteNew Balance makes a great shoe. Exercise is such a tricky thing. Hope the pain ends soon
ReplyDeleteLove the new *kicks*! My brother has the same thing and is constantly icing his heels ad wearing comfy shoes. Hope your feet feel better chicky!!

I just KNEW exercise was BAD for you!!!!....lol. Hope your feet feel better soon. My feet hurt if I wear my flops too much. It is time for me to get a new pair of tennis shoes too. I love New Balance and have had them several times.
ReplyDeleteHi Lori
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you are in pain with your feet. Those New Balance shoes look so comfy. I really need to exercise more - I would love to join you when your nightly walks resume!
Hoping your ice pack does the trick. A friend of mine had to roll her foot on a cold bottle of water when she had that problem.

I love my New Balance shoes...I'm glad you have you first pair! Here's to many more pairs of New Balance shoes....! :o)
ReplyDeleteYes, exercise is evil!!! I've been saying it for YEARS but nobody believed me. Hope your heels recover soon.
ReplyDeleteOuch! Great shoes - hope they help :)
ReplyDeleteExercise is so so evil! I've been trying to get back in the groove, but haven't been very committed. I LOVE my New Balance! My hubby has that plantar fascilitis too...he has really flat feet too which adds to the pain, and he wears New Balance. He loves them.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great week!♥
Lori if you email me your address I will send you a copy of the literature my doctor gave me.

I agree...it IS evil! I hope you are okay. Did you get it checked out? You don't want any of those 'spurs'...yikes.
ReplyDeleteAs for NB, I love mine...on my 2nd pair and they are great.
Hi Lori, Sorry to hear that you're hurting. I had trouble with this same thing in the past. I still have flare-ups every once in a while too...What helped me the most is the stretching exercises that my doctor told me to do. I hope you are all doing well. I've been SO busy that I've not been getting on the computer at all. I've been thinking about you though...I do hope you are happy and healthy...
ReplyDeleteHugs!!! Jerelene
Hey Lori, those are some cool rocking shoes! Who knew we could get shoes that actually can go with our different outfits! I have a few pairs to go with my different workout outfits! The only exercise I can do now cuz of my bladder is walk! I would miss it so much if I couldn't take my walks! Hang in there and I'll shoot a prayer up to the big guy for ya!! XOXO Fran.
ReplyDeleteSorry that sounds ouchy... I just bought Shape Ups by Sketchers and though they aren't the cutest shoe they are like walking on CLOUDS...
