About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Matchbox Advent Box

How cute is this??!  I know I am a bit late in the game, but this looks like such fun!  It's completely made out of matchboxes.  Simple (well, we'll see about that...) and inexpensive.  Think of the fun things you could fill it with- stickers, candy, $1 store trinkets and maybe movie tickets!:)  I know you all have tons of scrapbook paper and embellishments (ribbon, stickers, etc) so why not make this cutie?  I am off to Wal Mart to find the matches!:)   Click here for directions.

Wow, those are super cute. Do you have to wrap each one? I don't know if I have that much patience.

Can't wait to see what cute, charming boxes you come up with.

We use alot of different things. I don't usually use just one publisher. I use Story of the World here at home but we are using Mystery of History in the coop we are in this year. We really enjoy it.
For math I use Saxon and for English I use Learning Language Arts Through Literature. Everything else is whatever I find that I would like to use. Do you use a certain curriculum.

Hi Lori!
So did you find the match boxes to make this? It is ADORABLE~ I think I am going to make the snow globe and snowman on the jars on my blog. Ronnie has been knitting, she made a beautiful scarf yesterday and a little knit hat with a flower on it for Noel today-It is the most precious thing!
Miss you!
