About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Parties, parties and more parties...

Busy week. Nancy Drew Club Christmas Party.
Detectives on the case.

:)
Preparing to create Nancy Drew cupcakes.

Mandy's cupcake had "rock star" hair!

Oh, they make me laugh!

Sara creating her Nancy cupcake toppers.

Any excuse to make cupcakes!

The finished product!

Now on to our ornaments...

In the Message in the Hollow Oak, Pere Francois marked his path
with his initials. So, we created ornaments with Christmas trees...

and our first and/or last initial!:)

Then, we had our gift exchange! One young lady created this lovely decoupaged box!

The Clue in the Jewel Box.:)

A detective kit complete with notebook, magnifying glass, flashlight and watch!

Mandy received the Nancy Drew cookbook and a fabulous apron!

And now for our American Girl class Christmas party!
Melissa and Katie decorating sugar cookies to look like buttons.

We read the Addy series and it is our new favorite. Absolutely wonderful and a sweet read for the holidays...

Addy enjoyed benne (sesame) candies in the book so I ordered some for our party. The girls weren't too sure about them but I thought they were quite yummy.

A closer look at our button cookies! The M&M's are where the button holes are and the gel frosting is the thread...

We made Christmas presents, too! I can't tell you what, as they are a secret!

Our gift exchange! Inky, the dog, from the Kit series!

Fun American Girl books!

We ended the party playing the American Girl board game.

This is the charm bracelet I created for our gift exchange.

I fell asleep on the couch Friday night! Are you as exhausted as I am?
