About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand, Author of SeaBiscuit

I am half way through this book and it is horrifying, moving, inspiring and beautiful all at the same time. I will never look at a veteran the same way again. I want to run and hug each and every one of them. We are so blessed to have a Lord that loves us and a strong military with men and women that are willing to fight for our freedom. Next time you think that you are having a bad day, think of Louis Zamperini. Bet you change your mind.

Hey Lori I can almost hear the concern and thrill all at the same time in your post! Isn't it funny how sometimes certain things just hit us a certain way! Caught up on your blog! I so want to go to the little girls salon!! It looks pretty rockin! Kaitlin made us brownies tonight with ice cream too! Yummy! Hope you're doing good! XO Love, Fran.

Lori...it's so easy for us to take our freedom for granted and to forget about all the men and women who've laid down their lives for us and our country. My dad served in WWII and he was the most patriotic person I've ever known. He instilled in me a deep-rooted love for my country. I think this book will be the next one on my list!
