About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Long Weekends

I've never enjoyed a long weekend more.
Reading, front porch sitting, Pioneer Woman cooking, and sleeping.

We even fit in a sleepover.
I learned a lot about One Direction and my girl and I were happy to educate about Justin Bieber.
We are Beliebers and proud of it.:)

Two ticks had set up shop on Ruby, our Pug.
Ugh.
"Emergency surgery" was performed and then Daddy taught those suckers a lesson.
So good to have a hero in the family.;)

I'm on the hunt for some cute cowboy boots.
Yep, you heard me right.
I've been stylin' at Chico's but have decided I'm not really that old, yet.
This girl needs some sass.
Not sure if I can rock that look but I'm willing to try.;)

Reading the most amazing book right now.
It reminds me of "Far and Away" but even better.
Can't wait to finish it but don't want it to end.
Do you ever feel that way?

Missed my walk tonight due to pesky mosquitos.
West Nile Virus is a bit of a worry.
Is that a problem where you live?

Fall.
Will it ever get here?
I've got big plans to enjoy sweaters, boots, jeans and Survivor.
Amazing Race, too.

I'm scheduled for a CT Scan the day before my surgery.
Have any of you ever had one?
Not worried, just curious.

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back, ladies.
I'm so getting one today.

This post has been all over the place, but that's how my mind works.
Hope you could keep up.;)

Kids Eat Free.
Three of my favorite words.
Too bad one of my cuties has aged out of this category.:(

The Pioneer Woman must work out- constantly.
Her recipes call for whole milk, whipping cream, mayonnaise, bacon, etc.
I almost never buy these items (but love them dearly).
They're now in my house, in case you need to borrow.

Yes, that's Candyland played with candy.
We do it up right.
(As if the Pioneer Woman's supply list wasn't bad enough.)

Ciao.;)

Hi Lori!
I love long weekends, too! Just never seem to get enough of them. Oh, I can't wait for Amazing Race to come back on...that's one of my favorite shows! Yes...I think the state of Georgia has lost quite a few to the West Nile Virus...scary stuff. I did have a CT scan about 6 years ago and it was a breeze. You just have to lie really still, which is difficult for me. Continuing to pray for you, my friend!

West Nile Virus???? Shudder. Mosquitos & ticks!!! Shudder & shudder. Glad your weekend was full of such happy times that these beasties didn't spoil it one bit. Loved seeing the girls having fun with a friend. I've had a CT scan and it was ok. I would have another one and not worry. Hope autumn arrives soon for you Lori.

Looks like you guys had a wonderful long weekend! And those aisles in Hobby Lobby look so wide and neat. Ours is always a mess and cramped.
Two of my kids have aged out of kids. *sigh*
I think Roo had a CT scan before he had his emergency appendectimy.

what a fun post....being all over the place just seems right sometimes!
The skeeters were blown out of here due to the hurricane but are slowly returning....scary. As for you upcoming surgery..need the date so I can pray for skillful hands and a speedy recovery.
