About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! October is my favorite

October is my favorite.

#1- Pumpkin Spice is back, baby.  Already sold out at my Target but I'll be stalking the aisles.;)

#2- Fall TV is in full swing.  Below is my newest addiction.  I'm on Season 1 but will soon be caught up to Season 3 (started Sunday).  I want to sit and watch for hours on end while eating peanut butter M&M's and Red Vines licorice.  Ice cold Mountain Dew would be nice, too.  Don't judge.

#3- Time for Fall Fancies!  (Recipe for Trash here.)  Any ideas you'd like to share?  We may be too late for the apple picking this year.  Perhaps we can still head north...

#4- Leaves are changing and soon they'll blanket the ground with their spectacular colors.  We cannot wait...

#5- Orange is everywhere!  Such a warm and wonderful color...

#6- Blankets are all over my house encouraging snuggling and nap time.  Cooler temperatures are almost here. :)

Do you love October as much as I do?

Yes, yes, yes! I love October too! My birthday was yesterday (great month to be born). Beautiful weather, pumpkins, apples, corn mazes, camping, Halloween (followed by All Saints Day November 1 and All Souls Day November 2. And yesterday the piano teacher started the children on their Christmas songs, which reminds me that Christmas is right around the corner! Speaking of corn mazes, one of my homeschool groups is planning a trip to one on the 17th if you'd like a group to go with. Not going to leave info about it in the comments but contact me privately if you'd like to go.

Julie- Happy Birthday! You're a lucky lady to be born in October- the loveliest of months! I want to get the girls started on piano lessons so I'd appreciate any teacher info and the corn maze sounds fun! I'll contact you about that, too!;) Lori

Hey Lori!

October is one of my most favorite months of the year! I tend to get my idea's for what I'm going to be for Halloween at least 2 months before. My mom gets out all of her cute Halloween decorations since she doesn't like anything scary to put up. Ha ha ha! As a matter of fact, my whole family is making a trip to Lemos Farm on Friday, which will be very very fun. For the Fall Fancy idea's, I would put Trick or Treating, Candy Apple Eating contest, watch The Nightmare Before Christmas, watch Hotel Transylvania (another Halloween movie for kids), and watch Franken Weenie for the last 6 items for the Fall idea's.

Hey Lori!

Oh bummer about the California trip you didn't get to plan for the summer! There is always next time like you said. For the Fall Fancy idea's I just noticed that I only put 5 items instead of 6 items. Maybe for the last one, you can decorate your house with scary things?
