About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! "The Eleventh" on Feeln Review- Good, wholesome entertainment for the entire family!

Feeln is the leading streaming service that brings you heartfelt stories of love and togetherness - anytime, anywhere. This May, Feeln launched its original series “The Eleventh” which stars a trifecta of TV legends including Florence Henderson (The Brady Bunch, Dancing With The Stars), Ed Asner (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Roots, Up), Cloris Leachman (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Malcolm In The Middle), and newcomer Ren Harris. I was given the opportunity to review the first episode and share my thoughts with you.

“The Eleventh” focuses on a young girl’s journey to getting to know her estranged grandmother in order to bring closure to the past and unite her family. Cloris Leachman plays the grandmother and does a wonderful job. There are many unanswered questions and mixed emotions when her granddaughter, Janey, appears at her door (seeing her grandmother for what she believes is the first time). Through letters written by her deceased mother, a key to an old chest is uncovered and pictures in an album come to light. A grieving, angry father (played convincingly by Christopher Atkins) demands that the grandmother stay out of their lives. The backstory is a mystery and the end of the episode is quite a cliffhanger!

I enjoyed the fact that "The Eleventh" had an intriguing storyline and familiar faces such as Cloris Leachman, Christopher Atkins and Tracy Nelson (more to come). There was no foul language or nudity and that was refreshing! I would love to watch the next episode as the cliffhanger ending left me wanting to find out more of the story. I'd recommend this show to anyone who enjoys good, wholesome entertainment for the entire family!

I didn't particularly enjoy the main character,  Janey, as she appears quite shallow and emotionless, bordering on boring, in my opinion. I imagine she'll (hopefully) evolve into a deeper personality as the show develops.
