I received the most wonderful package from Lyn the other day! She was my partner in the very fun Movie Swap! She decided on a theme of "Vintage at the Movies" and I loved her creativity! First of all, she wrote me a letter telling the history of the movies (Follow Me, Boys! and Savannah Smiles), the soda (Verners Ginger Ale), the vintage candy (Necco Wafers, Mike & Ike, Snaps, Sugar Babies AND Dots!), the popcorn (Jolly Time) and the vintage game (Rock, Paper, Scissors)! Her cousin is even one of the police officers in the movie "Savannah Smiles"!
About Me
- mysteryhistorymom
- Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Lori at toosillysisters@cox.net

What a fun swap Lori!I haven't seen Savannah Smiles since I was little. I thought I was so cool going to the movies with my cousin alone...funny how stuff brings back the memories.
just wanted to let you know your box should be there today or Monday. I mailed it out Thursday...can't wait to see if you like it!
How fun! You just brought back some fun movie time memories and of course the candy ;)
What a fun swap!! My brother and his wife made us up a movie night box for Christmas one year and it was so much fun.

Wow...those are two great movies. I have memories watching both of those with my Dad on our "date nights"...I am going to have to go look for those and sit down with my kids and watch them. And what a great theme..vintage movies!
It makes my heart happy to know that you and your family enjoyed what I sent... (•_•)
