About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Neck Advice

Alright ladies.  I am now 40 years old.  My neck area still looks good and I want to keep it that way.  Any suggestions as to what I can use?  There are so many products on the market and I am overwhelmed!

I use Avon clinical wrinkle cream. I love it and I don't care for too many Avon products.

Drop over I have something for you sweetie.

I don't know what will work other than keeping out of the sun!

I'm back Lori! You'll have to come back and visit my blog! I've posted twice already! LOL

About skin issues I love Emu oil! It's really good for your skin!
Oh and something that might help since you don't want to spend a fortune on products that don't work. Go to:

Click on their product reviews and you can find what works and what doesn't! Hope this helps!
Have a great night!

I alternate between an Avon skin cream (Anew Ultimate in the gold jar) and a Kohls product from Grassroots Research Labs, Blue Algae Firming Cream.

Lately I think the Avon is a little too heavy for me, so I haven't been using that one as much, but it does have an SPF of 25, so it is good if you are going to be out in the sun.

I used Estee Lauder for years, but made the switch to Avon last spring, and then tried the Grassroots Lab product from Kohls last fall on a whim. I have been happy with the new products, and they cost less too. I stopped using Estee Lauder when they changed the formulation in the eye cream, and it kept irritating the skin around my eyes. It felt like chemical burns. O.O

Olay Regenerist products are also supposed to be good, and you can find coupons for them sometimes. :)

Here are links to the other products I mentioned:

I'm a licensed esthetician (skin therapist). You can use all the products in the world and it really boils down to genetics and environment.

If your mom's neck is wrinkly, chances are yours will be too. (Same rule for stretch marks)

You can help it a bit though. My advice would be to:

Cleanse
Gentle exfoliation (neck tissue is delicate)
Moisturize
Sunscreen (daily)

I'm glad that you are paying attention to your neck. Too many people forget. Your chest area is important too!

Don't forget to drink lots of water and get all of your vitamins! Many fine lines are due to dehydrated skin. So, drink up!

I don't know....But I'll be checking your comments with interest! I just keep smacking the bottom of my chin! Maybe it'll get scared and stop sagging!

I do love Patricia Wexler MD regeneration serum (although it breaks the bank) but feels oh so good on your skin! You can get it from bath and body works believe it or not.

Lovin' that birdcage in your new header pic too!

I think the comment "Mother Hood" said it all! I've been wearing lots of sunscreen (have to down here) and hydrating is key.

I certainly don't want to look like the leather interior of a beat up old convertible that hasn't had it's top up in years! YUCK!

Hey, Since everyone is putting in their suggestions, here's mine. It's from personal experience (I'm 50+) and my friend who used the same product when she was losing a lot of weight.

It's called Mary Kay's TimeWise(R) Night Solution. There's something in the formula that has helped firm up my double chin (no kidding).

And my friend's neck and under chin really firmed up after she lost weight by using the product. (She jokes now that she wishes she would have put that 'miracle' stuff on the rest of her body, because her underarms are like turkey gobbler wobbles.) LOL

So we LOVE it!

If you are interested, I think you can order online through www.marykay.com.

I've used sunscreen my whole life yet I am noticing that my neck is starting to look old-I know this is because "wrinkly necks" run in my family. Sad but true.
So when it comes time(a few more years) I have two words:

LIFESTYLE LIFT!

Yes, I'm going to fight age all the way!!!!!
