About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! In the Garden...

Our moonflowers are blooming and they smell so lovely!  For those of you that have never grown moonflowers, they are just like morning glories except they open up at night and they have the most heavenly scent.:)  They are large and white and have gorgeous dark green leaves  Each flower lasts only one night...

See the grasshopper that is playing hide and seek on the zinnia?  Every time I would try to get a better picture of him he would hide!

Look at these two friends.  They happily shared the same flower.:)

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  Early this morning we had quite a storm blow through from 2:00- 6:00 AM.  It was part of the remnants of Ivan and it was powerful!  I can't imagine what it was like in Houston and the surrounding areas.  Please pray for the people that were affected by Ivan.  They have a rough road ahead of them...

Moonflowers are lovely! I love your photos and think maybe the grasshopper was shy ;)

I can't imagine being in the path of a hurricane. The devestation that follows is horrifying. The families that have been touched by such destructive forces are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Lori!
Thanks for posting such a nice comment about my sewing on Sherry's blog! My girls are having a great time getting to know yours, too. Felicity talks about her friend Katie all the time. (beautiful flowers, by the way!)

Moonflowers how cool! I did see an episode about including white in your garden to be able to enjoy your garden at night. Looks like I will be looking for seeds next spring. The kids will love this!

Wow gorgeous photos! Yes, I've had moon flowers before. Not due to anything I did, we moved into a house where someone kindly planted them before us.

Beautiful flowers! I have never seen moonflowers! I wish I could smell them. I love flowers that smell great--like gardenias and tea olive trees!

oooh...monflowers sound very nice and romantic n the right garden setting. Say near a swing or around a bistro. Note to self: check into growing habits of Moonflowers.
Thanks! Oh and by the way love your banner. Quite clever.
