About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! McDonald's Cinnamon Melts

This is how I got my girls out of bed this morning:

McDonald's Cinnamon Melts are a complete guilty pleasure (they are like eating just the soft, gooey middle of a cinnamon roll), but the promise of one can certainly get you out of a warm bed!  I had places to go and people to see (aka "garage sale day") and these little squares of warm, cinnamon love were my secret weapon!  Be careful, though, as they are addictive- and bad for your caboose, if you know what I mean...
I was so glad we got an early start!  Look at all the treasures I found!

Any creative ideas for the topiary and candle sticks?

You would not believe the incredible prices....  I had my hands full and then I loaded up my girls!  They are such good helpers.:-)  See the tree shaped form in the back on the left (by the rooster)?  What do I do with it??  And the flower arrangement on the right, this is one of two that I bought.  Love them.

I love bunnies and this one was so sweet!

Another cute bunny!  I think I spent $14 for everything and that included some books for the girls.  Then the lady came out with some darling homemade bookmarks for us!  Do you think she will be selling more goodies tomorrow?

Wow Lori you really did score big time! The topiary I would take off the old moss and put on some new reindeer moss to jazz it up some. The candle sticks I would either paint darker or leave them as they are and buy a sting of fall leaves and string them up the candle sticks.(change for the seasons) I have the same grapevine tree form as you -but bigger and 3 of them. At Christmas we add berries to them but I have also seen lights strung around them too.
Amazing all the wonderful things you got. I think you should at least "drive by" tomorrow to see if that lady put anything else out and while you are out there go by Starbucks because their PUMPKIN FRAPS ARE IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fall has now officially begun people! (even though it really doesn't begin for like 17 more days)

Wow, you hit the motherload!! I like the topiary as is, I might wind some orange fall berries around it for now. The tree you could put twinkle lights around. The candle sticks would be cute with spanish moss stuff and a chunky candle(half price at HL-!) or still do the moss and top with a pumpkin. You could either leave them white or paint them black or sage green even.
Those cinnamon things look awesome!! I am quiet positive my kids would love those for breakfast tomorrow!! Hmmm...

I've wanted to give the cinnamon melts a try...but yep, my caboose is bigger than ever right now so I've refrained.

I cannot believe all of the goodies you got today...I need to start going to garage sales. Our garage sale days are mainly Sat and Sun. Friday mornings are perfect though!

I love your new banner. I bought all my ribbon...now I just need to get busy. Thank you for the info on measurements and all. I'll post a picture when I'm done.

Those Cinnamon Melts look delicious. We have McDonalds over here and sometimes have the apple pies they do. I will look out for those Cinnamon Melts. You did really well at the garage sale. The topiary could be decorated for fall and then changed for Christmas and then for Easter. I liked Robin's suggestion for the candlesticks. The bunnies are so cute. You must ride by again today!

We love the Pillsbury cinnamon rolls {5 count} for a quick Sunday breakfast before church.

I love bunnies too! Now that the kids are getting older I save the bunny theme for Easter decorations. Love the bunny picture!

Hahaha- you had to bribe the girls didn't you *winks*
Good finds! There are so many ideas that I share with you..... lets start with the candle sticks.... you can use that for practically anything. For Halloween- you can do the black/orange/creme vintage theme that is all the rage these days. Christmas- incorporate red and white candles and have poinsettias, pine cones, evergreen (holly) around a mantle and us the sticks. Same goes for Valentine's day and Easter and St. Patty's. See where I'm going with this Haha! Oy!
The Tree (by the rooster), not sure how tall or big it is, put some clear x-mas lights (10 or 20 or 50 strand) on that and put on a coffee table in a corner to light it up. Or put it in the Guest Bathroom or Kitchen as a holiday display and maybe put some mini ornies on it too. I do that with my mini Xmas tree and put lights on it and mini cookie cutters as a cute display. Don't paint it- leave it as is... it gives it character the way you bought it.
Not sure what you can do with the topiary? But if you come up blank- you can always use the urn for your garden? Good Luck and can't wait to see what you do with all your goodies! Have fun!

Wow, you really made out, lady! I love the cute bunny and the topiary. You could line it with small fruits and vegetables ( in rows. You could entwine it with berry garland or bittersweet. The urn could remain as is or paint it black, brown or cream with highlights of bronze or gold.

THe candlesticks could be painted and then topped with a faux pumpkin sitting atop a small grape vine or some moss.

Have fun!

Okay, now I KNOW we need to be neighbors...preferably where you are. They do not have decent garage sales here...what wonderful finds!!! Also, I love the girls photos in the background. You have such a warm and inviting home.
