About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! A Perfect Pet for Peyton Book Review and Giveaway!

The winner of A Perfect Pet for Peyton is Traci!

A Perfect Pet for Peyton, by Gary Chapman and Rick Osborne, is an absolutely delightful book for children.  My youngest and I read it this evening.  We loved reading the story (birthday party where each guest finds their perfect pet pal and learns something about themselves), searching for the hidden pictures, and learning about the 5 love languages.  Have you heard about the 5 Love Languages?  It's really quite interesting.  This hardbound picture book describes how each of us has a unique way of giving and receiving love.  These are the 5 Love Languages:

2- Words of Affirmation
3- Quality Time
4- Physical Touch
5- Acts of Service

My daughter and I discussed the different languages after we were done reading the story.  She was really interested in finding out what her Love Language was!  We used the Five Love Languages for Kids Quiz in the back of the book.  What a great addition to the book!  We decided that her Love Language was #3- Quality Time.  My husband's Love Language is #5- Acts of Service and my older daughter's is #2- Words of Affirmation.  I think that mine is a combination of Gifts and Words of Affirmation.
