About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! First Position

Dry.
Hot.
So dry and hot there may be no fireworks this year.

I'm not a lover of the heat but I do love summer.

Pool Time was just the ticket!

And sweated.

Thank goodness the cuties above indulged me with pictures.
The spoil sports below did this when I pulled out my phone...

Hey, I just noticed that the people next to us had snacks.  (note above plastic bags)
Didn't offer to share with us...

This is what you resort to when people don't appreciate your photo taking.
Sneaky pics taken by my husband.
See the top of my head- above?

Ahhh, that's more like it.:)
(My husband is so awesome.  He resorted to a towel head disguise to get them engaged.  Kind of like shiny objects and babies.)

Later in the evening we got together with ballerina friends to watch the movie, First Position.

Skittles, Twizzlers, Swedish Fish and Popcorn all around.
(That is, until a grasshopper jumped into the popcorn!)

Then we were ready.

The movie was amazing.

All I kept saying was, "Wow."
I couldn't help it!

Take a peek at the trailer below...

Lori, sounds like a fun time had by all! Those little ballerinas are so cute standing by the tree!

Thanks, Sherri! My goodness, if I could freeze time I do believe I would. Why do children have to grow up so quickly? Lori

This movie looks so good. I want to see it too :) It must have been very special for Katie to watch it with her ballerina friends. Looks like they really enjoyed it.
Oh wow, you have a mini water park in your town. Those slides look good. I can't imagine how you cope in the heat over there Lori but I suppose having places like this to cool down is lovely. I am jealous.

So much summer fun! It's sad, isn't it, when they get too old for Momma and her camera.

Mary Lou- THank you! I keep watching the trailer for First Position. The dancing is magical and the stories are amazing. I truly had no idea what dedication (and money!) it takes to be a dancer. The stories captured in the movie are really inspiring. Hope you get to see it!:) Lori
