About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Summer Schedule

I have been busy getting ready for our new school schedule.  We home school during the summer so we can take breaks/vacations whenever we like during the year.  We will be trying out some new curriculum, just for fun (and because I am addicted to buying new curriculum!).

Language Arts- Learning Language Arts Through Literature/Explode the Code
Writing- Writing Strands
Geography- 50 States
Science- A Beka/Apologia
World History- Story of the World
Math- Math U See

We will also be doing sketches in our nature notebooks and cooking a few times during the week.

My girls are signed up for a bunch of camps this summer, so I am hoping we can fit everything into our schedule!  Tomorrow Katie will be going to her first, without me.  It will be interesting to see how that turns out....  She is quite shy, but I was too as a child (still am under certain circumstances...).  The camp is on a farm and she will be learning about animals, making crafts, going fishing, etc.  I may have to stick around for a few pictures.:-)
