About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Sunday Fun and Homemade Granola

Katie has been wanting to set up a "Chocolate Milk and Water" stand ever since last weekend.  Remember those cute little boys with the lemonade stand?  I'm sure they were her inspiration.:-)  So, today was the day!  I was so sure that no one would stop as we have a very small and quiet neighborhood, but there were a few people that could not resist my cutie pie.:-)  She was completely happy to give her drinks away for free (Her sign read: "Water Stand for Free") but the few that stopped were more than generous with their change.:-)  I just watched from inside (Jeff was working in the yard and watching the whole time) and it was absolutely heartwarming.

My parents are in the middle of moving to Florida so Katie spent quite a bit of time talking to them on the phone as they drove South.:-)
It was Mandy's idea to add flowers to the display.  Love it!

   Sampling the goodies...:-)

Oh, since the weather has been absolutely heavenly lately I am going to make homemade granola tonight!  Here's the recipe if you'd like to try it, too!

Homemade Granola

5 cups old fashioned oats
3 cups sweetened coconut
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup honey
1 cup dried cranberries or raisins

Combine all ingredients, except the fruit.  Pour onto baking sheet.  Bake 30 minutes, stirring after 15 minutes.  Take out, cool and stir occasionally.  Add fruit if you desire.  Store in an airtight container.  Enjoy!:-)

I love homemade granola! I haven't made it in a while. I think I just may have to make some for the kids to take to school!

Your daughter is a vision of heaven!
