About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Turkey legs, funnel cake, roasted corn and fresh squeezed lemonade...

This past weekend was lovely- sunny and cool.  The kind of weather that makes you want to go shopping!  Well actually, any type of weather makes me want to go shopping, but at least this weather was good for being outside.  And that's where most of the craft fairs were- yippee!  Here is what we found waiting for us.  Oh yes, there was at least a mile of traffic to get in, but it was so worth it....

Our first stop was at the funnel cake vendor.  Jeff lives for these things!  Oh yeah, they are gooooooood.  Good thing we only get one once or twice a year.

Most crafters don't like people taking pictures of their booths, but I snuck my camera in just for you guys!:D

Isn't this guy darling?!  But $86??  He's going nowhere- fast.

There was live music and the most wonderful smells of turkey legs, roasted corn, chocolate dipped cheesecake...  We indulged in the turkey and corn, but by the time we got in line for the cheesecake, they were all sold out.  I think I heard my thighs give a sigh of relief.

Look who was there, too!  My friend, Jessica and her darling family!  She's the one that told me about the corn.:D
This is the view from the bridge.  Such a pretty place....
I fell asleep on the way home.  Craft fairs, roasted corn and fresh air have that effect on me.:D

Hi Lori
That Craft Fair looked amazing and well worth waiting in the queue for. I have heard of funnell cakes before and would love to try one someday. It looked to be in such a lovely setting near the river. I am jealous, I want to go there!
Thanks for sharing your lovely day out with your beautiful family.
