About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! BIG DAY!

Oh my goodness!
Yes, today was the BIG DAY!

Yes, today was the American Girl Fashion Show!

The pictures are in reverse order, so please bear with me. Here are Katie and I after the show enjoying our tea party refreshments...

Grandpa John and Grandma Patty were there for the big day!

Elizabeth was there, too.:)

Refreshments were served in chinese carry out boxes! We took our boxes home with us as I know some young ladies that will be having birthdays soon and what a fun way to serve refreshments at a birthday party!:)

Katie was dressed as a Bitty Twin to showcase the Bitty Twin dolls and clothes. She is the little one on the right. They both carried dolls with matching outfits...

Grandpa John took wonderful care of Elizabeth.:)

Grandma Patty and Mandy...

Here is Katie at rehearsal the night before. Look at that smile!:)

Here is the order of costumes in the green room. Does anyone know why they always call these rooms the "green room"??

They marked all the girls seats for the rehearsal...

Love the sparkly stars!

The decorations were so festive and fun! A true party atmosphere!

The raffle prizes! Jill and Kimberly- they are picking the winners on Sunday!

Here is Katie after she had her pictures done. I think we may have to buy this outfit for Christmas. She loved it- especially the leggings!

Hi Lori
Everything looked gorgeous at the fashion show.I loved all the decorations and Katie looked so cute and not at all nervous. You must have been so proud. Glad to see her lovely Grandparents there to support her. That will have made it even more special. My favorite picture is the beautiful one of you and Katie together. I love it.

This looked like so much fun!!
I love American Girl and my daughters used to collect them, now I'm looking forward to my granddaughter collecting them!
We got her the baby one last Christmas, and I also bought her the Girl of the Year (MIA because that's her name!), she's too young for that yet (only two) but she does enjoy the baby!

Your daughter did a great job and looks like she really enjoyed it all which is the most important!
So glad you were all able to share this together!
Great post! Thanks for sharing!
All the best,
Eileen

That Katie is too cute. Don't you love the 5-6year stage? They are in love with life and YOU! I think your darling older daughter looks like her grandmother - same eyes.
