About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Being a Hero to Your Kids

A friend of mine, who is a counselor, found a copy of this book at a used book store. She was telling me how wonderful it was and that she wished she could find more copies of it. One of the main parts of the book was about getting on your child's level while spending time together. Without even intending to, I have been doing this a bit lately. Talk about fun! Seeing the Justin Bieber movie with my girls (We danced together in our seats!) and "performing" with our new Wii game (they forgave me for beating their scores and we are now quite the dance crew!) was amazing! Have I been their hero? I'm not sure, but tonight Mandy told me that these were some of the best times EVER. Top that, Wonder Woman.:)

Way to go, girl! That is awesome. When I say, "Let's do Just Dance!" my girls look at me like I am crazy and then they get so excited. thanks for the inspiration. THAT is what I am doing tonight. xoxo

Awww, that's so great! I confess, I need to do that more. Sometimes I get so busy doing boring household chores that I forget to sit down and smell the.....Lincoln Logs? HA!

That is AWESOME! I have been trying not to say things like, "I have work I have to do. I can't play with you now." Who wants to fold the laundry anyway?
