About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Enchanted Evening

We had so much fun the other night!  My friend, Sue, invited us to her house for dinner and strawberry margaritas- I mean "slushies".;-)  Sue and her husband have the most wonderful home on 54 acres.  The strawberries were grown in their garden and they were absolutely divine- yummmm!  They also made the most INCREDIBLE chicken kabobs with grilled veggies.  Sue told me she would share the recipes and, believe me, I will be posting them!
Our girls had the best time playing together on the trampoline (Katie and Teagan did wipe out, but c'est la vie), in the playhouse (so cute- even had a loft!), by the pond, in the playroom, etc.  We saw peacocks, bluebirds, chickens (they raise them) and even a snake!  In fact, as we were leaving, Mandy said, "No offense Mom, but I like their house better than ours."  I have to say that I agree with her.:-)  Thanks again, Sue, for the fabulous evening!

Sounds like a wonderful get-together! That margarita had my name ALL over it!

EASY COBBLER
1 stick margerine
1 C flour
1 C sugar
2 t baking powder
3/4 C milk
1 t vanilla
1 Large can sliced peaches

Preheat oven to 350*. Place stick of marg in 9 x 13 pyrex dish and place in oven, remove when completely melted and bubbling. Combine and add first 6 ingredients to pyrex dish, then spoon peaches on top (no liquid) Bake for 35 min. (I add cinnamon & sugar about 5 minutes before taking it out of the oven) Serve w/ ice cream of course! ENJOY.

Slushies sound great!

Hope you enjoyed your visit to Lawrence. If you drove on I70, you came right by us, our land butts up to the interstate.
