About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Heaven is for Real for kids- Book Sneeze review

Heaven is for Real for kids is a children's book telling the story of Colton Burpo.  When Colton was 3 years old he had to have emergency surgery and during the surgery he took a trip to heaven.  I know it's hard to believe as this is certainly not an every day occurrence!  God wants us to have the faith of a child, does he not?  In his story, Colton tells of meeting Jesus, playing with the animals (yes, he says there are animals in heaven!  And they all get along!), how beautiful heaven is, and all about the multitudes of angels.  He also tells about meeting his big sister and his great grandfather that he never even knew he had.  (They do not mention this part in the book, but his big sister and great grandfather had passed away before he was born.)
The book is lovely and conforting for children.  It shows how heaven is a wonderful place where no one ever gets sick or old.  Everyone is happy and glad to be there.  I think this is perfect for any age as we all want to be reassured that heaven is real and not frightening.  There are also questions at the end of the book for further discussion with your child.

That book looks cute. :) But I really came over to tell ya that I nominated your blog for two little awards. I know it's cheesy! But hopefully you'll have time to play...or at least get a little warm n' fuzzy moment knowing I think you're terrific. ;)
