About Me
- mysteryhistorymom
- Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Lori at toosillysisters@cox.net

Miss America
When I was young my Mom, my sister, and I liked to watch the Miss America pageant together. We would make lists of our favorites and we were quite vocal about who we did NOT like! It's a girl thing. Last night I saw a few minutes of the new "jazzier", as they are calling it, pageant and I was disappointed! First of all, the girls were all homely! I know this makes me sound shallow, but I kept checking to see if it was some other kind of bizarre, unheard of event. Nope. Then, the talent was pitiful, too. The singing- ugh! Miss Virginia did do a wonderful ballet number from the Nutcracker, though. I am sad to say that I did not have any desire to watch until the end. Maybe I just needed my Mom and sister so we could make catty comments?? Maybe I'm just getting old- ugh.
