About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Open Wide

I get to go to the dentist tomorrow.  yippee.  Katie, on the other hand, is thrilled to pieces!  She is looking forward to getting a new toothbrush,  having her picture taken for the "No Cavities"(my fingers are crossed) poster, and choosing a prize from the treasure chest.  Why don't grown-ups get prizes, too?  I'll let you ponder that thought for a moment.  Don't you sit still while they pick into every sensitive nook and cranny?  I even try and keep a friendly conversation going (you KNOW you want the hygienist to be your friend- you are at her mercy!) while inwardly wincing. Yes, please tell me more about your son's diaper rash problem, and NO, that didn't hurt. one. bit. We deserve much more than a dinky little ring from the treasure chest (that will turn your finger green in a matter of minutes) or perhaps some Silly Putty that will end up sticking to your rug, but just be glad you're not Dustin Hoffman in the movie "Marathon Man."  "Is it Safe??" Shudder.
