About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Homefront

Were you lucky enough to watch the WWII TV series "Homefront" in the early 1990's?  It remains one of my favorite TV shows and I am still not over the fact that it was cancelled after only 2 years.  I loved Ginger and Jeff (Kyle Chandler) (Would they ever get married??).  And who could forget Charlie and his British girlfriend? "Cha-lie!" Even the beginning theme song, "You've got to acc-en-tu-ate the positive, e-lim-in-ate the negative..." was memorable.  It was a prime time soap, but even Jeff loved it!  When we first got married and were moving into our apartment, I remember carrying our huge new TV up flights of stairs as fast as we could so we wouldn't miss a minute!  This was before Tivo.:-)  Then the final episode aired and our VCR failed to tape it!  I was heartbroken.  I saw this picture on the internet, so I know the set exists, but I can't find where to purchase it.:(  If any of you stumble across the series, please let me know.  I have been waiting 15 years to find out what happened...

We use to watch Homefront too. I don't remember if I saw the last one. I'll have to ask DH. Glad you found the website!

If you ever find it would you have us over to watch it with you? A big 'HomeFront' party!

I had forgotten all about it and it was one of my favorites right next to 'Little House in the Prarie.'

I ordered mine from the TVDVDStore and the DVDs are AWFUL :( They hardly play. I was so disappointed.

I really hope it comes out on legitimate DVDs soon.

That show was absolutely wonderful :) Jeff and Ginger remain my favorite TV couple ever.
