About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! "Joy" in the Mail!

The most wonderful package arrived yesterday from my lovely and talented friend, Joy!  Joy is an amazing friend and she has a way with colors that I have never seen before!  Look at this wreath she made!  I can't STOP looking at it!:D  The picture doesn't come close to doing it justice....  She puts colors together that I would never think of and it is pure magic!

I bought the most amazing swag and picture frames from Joy, but I WON the wreath!  I will show you the goodies that I bought (that I also can't stop looking at!) but first let me show you what Joy gave me just because she is extremely kind...  She and I both love Holly Hobbie.:)  Look at this darling plaque!

And these sweet Christmas cards!!!  Almost too cute to write on!

"To the house of a friend, the way is never long."  Joy, I truly hope we can meet in person some day... :)

Look at this amazingly chunky and fun swag!  It makes mine look sickly!  There is no sibling rivalry- yet.  The new swag doesn't brag- too much.:D

Did I mention how Joy wraps her gifts??  Tissue paper and tulle everywhere!  Opening a gift from her is like opening up a party!  Joy has inspired me to be more creative, let me tell you...

Here are the gorgeous picture frames!  Each with it's own joxlette!  I am tempted to leave the frames empty and hang them just the way she made them...   They are yummy enough to eat!

Here is a close-up of one of the joxlettes.  Look at the amazing fabrics and the handmade button!

Joy- thank you so much for the gorgeous, amazing and thoughtful package!  I just can't get over all the lovely things you made and the joy that you sent my way.:)  I will be back to shop again soon!  Joy is having a wonderful SALE right now, so stop by her shop and pick up some early Christmas gifts!:D

The little girl plaque looks like some of the things my mom used to make. The image brings back wonderful memories!

Cute stuff Lori. I just read your post about the newest issue of Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion, I just got my copy this past weekend. Oh my goodness! I loved every single page. The ideas are amazing. I have almost every copy of her magazine.

P.S. Just listened to the poll results. I will be praying for our country right along with you sister.

Thanks for stopping by my blog Lori! I too am soooo excited to have you as a partner for the Very Vintage Christmas Swap! It is going to be a lot of fun! You have a great blog and I am looking forward to getting to know you better. It looks like you received some great goodies from Joy, the picture frames are my favorite! Have a great day!

P.S. I voted for McCain. I’m scared what the future holds for our country, but I will try to leave my worries in the Lord’s hands.
