A friend of mine, who is a counselor, found a copy of this book at a used book store. She was telling me how wonderful it was and that she wished she could find more copies of it. One of the main parts of the book was about getting on your child's level while spending time together. Without even intending to, I have been doing this a bit lately. Talk about fun! Seeing the Justin Bieber movie with my girls (We danced together in our seats!) and "performing" with our new Wii game (they forgave me for beating their scores and we are now quite the dance crew!) was amazing! Have I been their hero? I'm not sure, but tonight Mandy told me that these were some of the best times EVER. Top that, Wonder Woman.:)
About Me
- mysteryhistorymom
- Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Lori at toosillysisters@cox.net

Shake Your Groove Thing, Apple Pies and Kate Plus 8
Bought this today.
A friend told me she dropped 8 pounds in two weeks while shaking her groove thing.
It's not a pretty sight to see me shakin' mine but it sure was fun!
Plus, I beat both my girls.:)
They won't dance with me anymore.
Guess I'll be going solo.
These things are yum.Did you know you can get 2 for $1 or 1 for 99 cents?
They don't tell you in the drive thru but now you are an educated consumer.
13 grams of fat.:(
I ate half and passed the rest to the little cutie behind me.
I watched 3 minutes tonight as I was flipping channels.
Painful.
I laughed until I cried!
Maybe I'm just weird.:)

Wind Advisory
Just signed up for weather advisories via text.
A little head's up for if a tornado is heading down our street.
We want to have plenty of time to(worry)PLAN!
It's 1 AM and we have gotten 4 texts so far in the past hour.
The wind has been blowing like the wolf in 3 Little Pigs all day.
Glad they just texted me that there is a Wind Advisory.
My poor husband may never fall asleep.

They are not Truly Ours
Oh, how I love, adore, treasure and worry about my girls.
But they are not truly mine.
They are the Lord's.
A wise friend told me something that I just had to share with you.God has a plan for all of us- and that includes our children.
We can pray and guide them the best that we can, but ultimately they are His.
At first this sounds a bit scary but it is truly freeing.
My hopes and dreams will always be present, but I have to trust and know that God is in control.
What a load off my shoulders! I am just a helper. A Mother.
God is the conductor and we are all lovely instruments in his symphony called life. :)
