About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! The kitchen is the heart of the Home...

The kitchen is truly the heart of the home.
Of course, we eat here, but we also...
Drink tea here.

Do taxes here.
Create birthday gifts here.

Read plays here!

We make friends in the kitchen.

We get creative here.

We laugh here.:)

We feel good about ourselves here.
(Except when Girl Scout cookies are in town.)

We try new things in the kitchen.

We eat goodies in the kitchen.:)

Sometimes smile for the camera in the kitchen, too.

We enjoy life in the kitchen.
Every second is precious, you know.

We do school in the kitchen.
Check out that stack of books.
Not even half of them...

We play games here.
(The girls make me smile and laugh! LOVE them.)

We even tell secrets here.

We read stories here.
MJ wrote her own American Girl story about a girl named Zoe.
She was so sweet to share it with us.

We relax here.

I wish I could have you all in my kitchen.

The fun we would have.:)

4 Truths and 1 Lie

I just had some fun over at JennyKate's blog! She listed 4 truths and 1 lie about herself. I thought I would try and stump you!:) Here we go...

1. I love smoked oysters.
2. I love movies with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. (You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle)
3. I do not like wine. Yuck.
4. I am allergic to guinea pigs.
5. I like Latin music (Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Miami Sound Machine)

Can you find my lie?

**I can't believe I stumped all of you! The lie is #2!!! I am NOT a fan of Meg Ryan and so I do not like You've Got Mail or Sleepless in Seattle. I hope you all still love me.:)**

Wishes, Polka Dots and Posies

American Girl 300 Wishes Game.

We all enjoy playing it.

What would your greatest wish be?
Traveling to Rome for dinner?
Backstage Passes with your favorite band?
Sending your parents on an all expense paid vacation?
They are all there and more.

My new line of jewelry...
Polka Dots and Posies!
Adjustable to the length you desire and perfect for Spring!

Tiptoe Through the Tulips

The Whispering Statue

Nancy Drew Club members.
Boy, do I love these girls.
One of them wrote "I love Nancy Drew Club!!!" on facebook and made my day.

They made statues this week (craft kit at Target) after we read The Whispering Statue.
We also made Hannah's Cheese Puffs from the Nancy Drew cookbook.

Ruby likes mysteries, too.

This and That...

Had tons of fun here today.
Moo Cards.
Can't wait for mine to arrive!
I'll be able to give cute cards out instead of writing (with a crayon) on old receipts. At the bottom of my purse. Where all my packets of Splenda have spilled out.
I am one classy lady.

My living room.
Today.
We're going for a new record.

Watched this last night.
Love the lines and could quote them all day long.
What movie do you like to quote lines from?
No touchy!

Why am I plagued with checking the stove every time I leave the house?
And when I go to bed??

Don't get me started on the garage door.

Please tell me I'm not alone.

10 on 10!

My first 10 on 10!
It was a truly special day with friends.:)
We started it off at Rally's!
Their hamburgers and fries make my heart sing! (Let's not talk about what they really do to my heart.)

Then we were off to the zoo!
Here is a sample of the wild animals...

Have you ever fed a giraffe? Look at that tongue!
Her name is Charlee and she is 16 years old.

Then, Heather and I were able to escape for some shopping!
This store is gorgeous!
I wanted one of everything.
Snuck pictures just for you.:)

Love this picture.
We are like one big, happy family.:)

I think there was a full moon that night...

Heather and I had dinner together and wanted to chat the rest of the night in front of this fire. It was cold!

Alas, a slumber party was waiting!
Katie and Lindsey had such fun together crafting and giggling.
Love it.

It was a never ending friend fest.
Lights out at midnight.
I took this picture in the dark.:)

I could still hear their giggles (and snores) as the night went on.:)

Words Mean so Much...

What was your favorite Valentine's Day gift?
A few years ago I received a gorgeous, leather Coach purse from my sweetie. I was afraid to use it. I knew it was very expensive and I was afraid I would spill something on it, lose it, that someone would steal it, etc. It sat in the box for many days. I am quite sure that I hurt my husband's feelings, although that was not my intention. I told him that I really needed to return it. It was just too. much. money. You know what he told me? He told me that he loved me and that I was worth. it. I deserved special things. This, my friends, was my favorite gift. The words. The man that I adore telling me that I was very special to him, even though I don't often feel that way about myself. I did return the purse and found one that I loved that was more reasonable BUT I will never forget how my sweetie made me feel. So very loved.

Another chance to win!

Enough of the creepy stalker.
Amy Anderson won my Valentine Posie necklace but I am choosing ONE MORE WINNER. Hop on over to my facebook page and tell me your favorite item in my shop. Winner announced at 3:00 TODAY!
