What are you great at?

Homefront

We are currently studying World War II and reading the Molly,

an American Girl, books. What a amazing time in history! I can

do without the rationing, air raid drills, and Hitler, but so much

of it sounds utterly romantic!

I know it's not reality, but I LOVED this show! Homefront,

with Kyle Chandler, was a night time "soap" that I waited for

every week. The music, the romance, the red lipstick! Jeff was

such a good sport to watch it with me once we got married.

Sure wish they would release this series on DVD.

Anyone else remember?

Sweet Dreams

Felicity and Elizabeth dolls (American Girl) are being

retired at the end of December.

Elizabeth's bed is lovely (above) but quite expensive.

Jeff ordered the bedding and then made the bed and the

mattress yesterday.

Katie was the painter.:)

Here is the completed bed and one happy little girl!

I was so impressed! The bed is about $70 in the catalog

and Jeff made it for around $10.

God Always Has a Plan

We were a minute late for church today.

That's how we roll.

Katie has a friend spend the night.

Normally, this would be a great excuse to miss church.

Not anymore.

My Mom told me that the recent stressful events would end

up being something positive.

I wasn't sure.

She was right. She always is.:)

It has drawn me closer to God.

I want to read more about Him.

I want to be more active in church.

I want to live for the Lord, instead of

for myself.

I have a long way to go, but it's a start.

Something bad turned out to be something

very, very good.

Thank you for your prayers, dear friends.

The Secret

I just received my second hate mail letter of the day.

It did not have my name on it, but it is aimed at a group of people

that I am a part of and agree with.

This is the secret I was referring to in my last post. I wish it were

a better secret!

Sorry, no baby news!

A group of women and I took a stand that was very hard to take.

We agonized over it.

The ladies in charge are so exhausted from the hateful calls and

letters that they have asked me to take over for them.

It's wearing me down.

I can't go into the specifics, but I know that God is on our side and

that the choice is the best one for our children.

Please say a prayer that all will end well, dear friends. For everyone.

I am so glad to be an American where we can be free to speak our

minds. It's the hateful words that are so very hard to take.

What's Up...

Planning on making quilts with my girls baby clothes.

Started walking 2 miles a day. My neighbor told me I walked fast.

Made my day.

Feeling guilty when I don't agree with others. Even when I am

with the majority.

Happy the mean girl in gymnastics dropped out.

Looking forward to a bonfire at my friend's house. Still too

warm, though.

Loving e-mails from my sister who is visiting France. Today she

visited a place where she said the Volturi would live... if they

were French.:)

Marveling at what God thinks I can handle. He is never wrong.

Using my crock pot... a lot. Love that.

Itching to make Christmas gifts. But what?

Having a hard time keeping a secret.

Waiting for a late night thunderstorm.
