About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Where the Day takes You

Home school P.E. class.
We hit the trail today.

   The scent of  Honeysuckle.
   Almost worth my allergies.

   Green.
   Quiet.
   Peaceful.

Lesson on Poison Ivy and Ticks.
Two of the main reasons I avoid the woods.
I was so glad I tagged along today, though.

If I bring my camera I can go anywhere.
   No kidding.
   It empowers me.
   Just call me Flash.

   Kids are the best.
I could take pictures of them all day.
   No fear.
Living life and not holding back.

The sound of the water running.  Peaceful.
I didn't want to return to the noise.

Little wild strawberries were scattered throughout.
Lush green with pops of red.
   Hidden treasure.

   A little fairy village, perhaps?

They begged to stay and play.
   So we did.

   Yes, please.

   Mandy braved the water.
She never backs down from an adventure.
She slipped and took quite a tumble but she told me that showed that she had "lived".
I love the way she thinks as I usually play it safe.

   "Stop opening my phone."

   They do love each other.
   Some of the time.:)

I stood there and clicked away.
I laughed while they struck poses, made faces and tickled each other.

We got our school work done later.

The weather was just too nice to go inside.

   Fun in the Sun.
   Indeed.

   Making scary faces.

You just never know where the day will take you.:)

Living the Dream

A friend told me years ago that I was living "the dream".
I do believe she's right.

      My family is not perfect.
But together we are pretty amazing.
    We make each other laugh.

My pretty close to perfect husband spoils us.
   We kind of like that.
   A lot.

My girls still pose for pictures.
Some like it more than others.

          We like each other.
   Most of the time.
No one gets upset when they don't win.
Unless the ball keeps popping out of the   hole.
   On Mother's Day.

              We don't mind the heat.
Especially when we have our own personal "fanner".:)

   Isn't she cute?

We have been so very, very blessed.
   God is so good.
   My whole family knows this.
I am so thankful to know that we will spend eternity together.

Even when times are difficult we know that we are there for each other.
We all need our own cheering section.

I pray that you have your own shelter in a  storm.
I pray that you are living the dream on earth, too, and that you have the comfort of knowing what your future holds with the Lord.
If you're not sure, I would love to talk with you about it.  Heaven wouldn't be the same without you.   (toosillysisters@cox.net)

Enjoy your days on earth- even when they are trying.
   Laugh all you can.
Try to focus on the positive and I will do the same.

Thank you, my dear family, for loving me.
I am less than perfect and downright crabby quite often.
I do not deserve all the happiness you give me but I LOVE it.  And I love you all more and more.

News

Remember this?
I have some news for you.:)

And, oh yes, I got my camera out today!  These sweeties were so ready for a visit.

The Make a Wish Necklace will be going in my shop later tonight.  I love it.

Here's the news!  The girls discovered these little angels today.  I am so glad they made it through the storms.

Happy Mother's Day- almost.:)

Les Mis, Snow White and Sleepovers

Rehearsals.
Snow White.
I cannot tell you how much I love watching Katie dance.
Love.

We went to see Les Miserables the other night.  Not my favorite version of it but it was good.  You could feel it and if you have seen it before you know what I mean.  Mandy said she could not imagine "anyone doing it better".  I wish I could see things like her and not be so critical sometimes.  She loved it and I loved it because she did.

We all dressed up because it was a special occasion.  Shows like this don't come very often here.  Mandy even let me curl her hair.  I wish she could someday see how lovely she is.  Isn't that typical of women, though?  We rarely see how beautiful we are.

I want to go see it again.

But for now we will focus on Snow White.  It will soon be here.

Sleepover Central.  That's us.  Katie and I are gearing up for a Justin Bieber sleepover.  The DVD is coming out on the 13th.  Have you pre-ordered yet?  It. Is. AMAZING.

Do your kids ever look at you like this?  She is the best big sister.  She keeps the littles happy so I can have a break.  You should have heard all the giggling!

I see these guys every day.  Love them but don't know the owners.  I have to click pics with my phone. This was a rainy day and they looked so perfect.  Waiting for the picture to be taken.

One day I will get brave and use my camera.

"Do You Hear the People Sing" keeps playing in my head.
Perhaps Mandy was right.
Maybe they were pretty exceptional after all.
