Redecorating Dreams

   This is our little slice of heaven- at least for the week.:-)  When I get home I am going to take out a fan in my kitchen, that is over my island, and replace it with a pot rack.  Then I am going to have some curtains made that look like the ones in this house and then I am going to replace my furniture and....  Yeah, right.  Well, I can dream, right?  Actually, I feel like I am dreaming this week.  We have enjoyed many beautiful beach houses, but I think this one is my favorite.  Luscious colors and so welcoming!  

     The second picture is the girl's bedroom.  It's on the top floor- the "crow's nest".  Love the pink and green!  They have their own flat screen TV and an extra daybed for friends.

       The third picture is an overview of the living room and dining room.  Love the bright colored accessories and the dark wood.  The round dining room table is perfect for us and the yellow rattan chairs from the kitchen coordinate so nicely!  I am in love.

The next picture is the master bedroom.  Heaven on earth.

The last picture is of the house itself.  Fabulous, don't you think?  I tell you, I am ready to move in- for good.  Too bad it's already booked for the rest of the summer....:(

Mother's Day

Do you hear the waves???  Yes, we finally made it to the beach!  Mother's Day was absolutely fabulous!  Art in the Park, dinner by the water, wonderful time with my family, Survivor finale (really wanted Amanda to win) and Wii playing to round out the evening!  My girls made me the most gorgeous presents!  They made me a mosaic plate, mosaic photo holder, mosaic heart treasure box, crowns, bracelets and a lovely necklace that I wore proudly all day.  Thanks for all your creative gifts, my sweet girls!  They also bought me a fabulous Coach wallet to match my Coach purse!  

   The park had a huge gardenia bush!  There is nothing like the scent of gardenias!  I have yet to find a candle or bottled scent that smells like the real thing....  Ahhh...  The last picture is of my Mom and the girls outside our beach house.  Wait until you see inside!  I am ready to move in- or atleast redecorate MY house when I get home.  So many lovely decorating ideas...

We are almost there!

   We are finally in Alabama!!  We will not check into our beach house until tomorrow afternoon (Mother's Day) but at least we can say that we are in the state.  Jeff drove the whole way- he is absolutely amazing!  I got to sit and make jewelry.:-)  We ate at a restaurant by the water for dinner.  Katie even spotted an alligator!  Can they swim in salt water??  He was really close so it was quite thrilling.  Tomorrow we will meet my parents and sister at an art festival closer to the beach.  It has an arts and crafts section for children, face painting, yummy snacks and many different artists with beautiful and interesting things for sale.  Hopefully we will have nice weather.  I can't wait to hear the waves, see the ocean and feel the warm sand....  Don't mean to rub it in!  I wish I could bring you all with me!!

Dress Rehearsal

   Katie had her dress rehearsal for her first ballet performance last night.  She has been working so hard and it was a joy to watch her.  She is all about ballet, pink, sparkles and glitter.:-)  I even let her wear a bit of make-up, as her teacher suggested it and I thought- why not?  How thrilling for her to be able to wear lip gloss, a touch of mascara and sparkle eye shadow while on stage!  

Pink Preppy Swap

Today I received a fantastic package from my Pink Preppy Swap partner, Michelle!  We had to send each other 6 items- each item starting with a letter from the word SPRING.  The first thing I fell in love with was the beautiful case with the pink hydrangeas on it!  It is gorgeous, Michelle!!  The other items were as follows:

OK, I couldn't wait any longer.  Here is what I got my Mom for Mother's Day- and I LOVE it!  The necklace has the most gorgeous freshwater pearls in different shades of PINK (my favorite!) and also rose and lime quartz!  Pink, with a tiny accent of green- FABULOUS!  I hope she loves it as much as I do...

Mermaid Swap

I just mailed my mermaid swap partner, Peggi, her package of goodies today!  She is an absolute sweetheart!  You must stop by her blog- desertphotography.blogspot.com.  She has the most beautiful art work and lovely music to enjoy, too.  Anyway, I hope she is not peeking...  I made her a mermaid necklace with lapis beads, Swarovski crystals, pearls and a vintage picture accented with "fairy dust".  I also made her a mermaid journal with ribbon dividers and included some tropical flavored jellybeans- just for fun!:-)  I hope you enjoy everything, Peggi!  Now I am off to make fun things to send to my partner, Julie, in my Desert Island Swap!
