About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Slumber Party Fun

We had two "investigators" at our house tonight. They were in disguise. (Here they are interrogating a suspect.)

Mandy and her dear friend, Faith, still have a wonderful imagination even though they are "tweens". (Hate that word) All too soon it will be replaced with boys, boys, boys- sigh...

Listening to them *giggle* makes me feel so good. I *think* they are asleep now?

Katie was away at an American Girl Slumber Party for her darling friend, Linden!

My friend, Kylie, even set up a table for the dolls. Can you stand the cuteness??!

Look at all the sweet girls with their dolls. I heard that they were going to make sleeping bags and pillows for the dolls at the party. Amazing.

I can't wait to hear all about it.:)

I made Baked French Toast for breakfast. You can make it, too! Just click on the link!

Nice for your older daughter to have some 'tween' time with her friends while your little one had her own slumber party!
I don't like that particular word 'tween' either!

Both your girls are so beautiful and they both seem to have wonderful sets of friends, and it's especially important as they get into the teen years that they have wholesome friendships. So nice of you to let those friendships develop in your home.
You're a good Mom!

All the best,
Eileen

What a fun party. I am so not ready for my girls to move beyond imagination and dolls. I know it's coming, but I'm definitely not wishing this time away.

Hi Lori
It was lovely to see both girls having fun with their friends. The American Girl Doll party sounds wonderful. I would have loved that as a child and would probably still do now!
The Baked French Toast sounds delicious. You always have interesting things for breakfast like pancakes etc. We just have boring cereal!

I remember when my girls "giggled" with their friends and went on sleepovers-oh the good old days! They are both married and have houses of their own, so keep all these memories Lori!
