About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Deck the Halls Part 1

We are starting to deck our halls but still have a long way to go!  Here is the Gumdrop Wreath that Katie and I made.  It was a lot of fun, just watch out for the pokes from the toothpicks and don't forget to reinforce the top of the wreath with masking tape before you cover it...

This is our "girly" tree full of pink and sparkle.  We put it in our dining room this year and now, with the help of a few candles, we are able to eat by the light of the tree.  Lovely!

This trio of snowmen has been with us since before Mandy was born.  They make me smile with their chubby little chenille bodies and happy little "personalities".:)

On the other side of the mantle is this sweet gingerbread boy.

Here is our traditional tree full of handmade ornaments and memories of Christmas past.  It's not fancy, but it's ours.:)

These cuties are on my dining room table.  I love "winter white" and it's classic appeal.  There are touches of silver and gold mixed in...

This jar is so fun to fill!  Remember the sparkly pumpkins it had in it for Halloween?  They are packed away until next year and now these ornaments have their chance to shine!

Some pics from the "girly" tree...

There is still so much to do!  sigh...  Stay tuned for Part 2!

Oh Lori,
Everything is just adorable! I knew it would be.
I love the gumdrop wreath you and Katie made-I think it turned out perfect-I saw little gumdrop trees to go with it. You just get one of those Styrofoam cones and poke gumdrops in them with toothpicks-Really cute.
I love the pumpkin watercolor that my Mom painted! It looks so nice on that wall!
I just got up from a much needed nap-I'm so thrilled you showed your trees and can't wait for part two!

Everything looks so nice. Love the girly tree! I have finally started but dont plan to do to much because I never get the help to get it all taken down. I get all stressed out so I figure put up just enough to celebrate after all long ago they didnt have all the decor we now have and they seemed to enjoy the holidays more. Blessings, Karen

Lovely!!!!

I think my gumdrop wreath wouldn't make it to the door.......I'd be eating them faster than I could put them on a toothpick :)

Have a wonderful day!

Oh my - you have TWO Christmas trees? I have one, artificial tree with the lights already on it - so I never have to string lights on my tree. You must come to my house and decorate! Beth

Love part 1, can't wait for part 2. We are slowly making it Christmassy here. I am a little surprised by myself, but then, most of it is hidden in the garage somewhere.
