About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Wrapping Party and Scarf Along

Have you ever been to a Wrapping Party? I hosted one years ago and they are such fun! It's a time for you and your friends to get together, eat decadent food, chat and wrap gifts. Sounds good, huh?
A dear friend of mine, Kylie, hosted a Wrapping Party the other night and we had the most wonderful time! She served delicious food, provided lovely wrapping paper, ribbon and even boxes and also had prizes!

Kylie had her house decorated so beautifully and people stayed until 1:30 AM! The party started at 6:00! No one wanted to leave- including me...

Oh my goodness... I still need to get your Spinach Dip recipe, Kylie!

I completed my first scarf from Julie's Scarf Along! YES!!!! My darling husband helped me. He can figure out anything mechanical.:) Thanks Sweetie! And thanks Julie!

So, are you ready for Christmas? I think I still may be getting ready on Christmas Eve! Yikes!

What a great idea! I don't really like wrapping the presents, especially if it's at midnight on Christmas eve, or would that then be Christmas morning? It would be super fun to wrap with friends and eat decadent food!
Cute scarf!

Look at you go sewing Susie!!!!
The scarf turned out sooooo cute! I had no idea you were going to make it out of different pieces of material...I thought it was going to all be the same. Being you can do this means you can make a quilt. You go girl! I'm so proud of my little sister!!!!

Hey, the wrapping party looked like alot of fun and your friend really looks like she has her act together. Everything looked perfect including the food!

Have a Merry weekend,

Love,
Me~♥

Your party sounded fun, but I've never heard of a 'wrapping party'. What does it entail? Do you haul your gifts to the hostess house and it's just a matter of having company and fun while you wrap, and then you haul them back home? Or do you go to each other's homes and help wrap everybody's gifts? (I think I would much prefer that!).
I wish I had known about these things when my kids were little, I would have thrown a wrapping party in a heartbeat!
That is one job I did not enjoy, especially when there were so many to wrap (our own five kids and then there were twenty-one nieces and nephews, and then add on all the other relatives!), we definitely were up until the wee hours of Christmas morning wrapping as we lived paycheck to paycheck back then and couldn't shop well ahead of time!
Well, it all got done, and I have some nice memories of time spent alone with my husband, just wrapping and talking about Christmas past, and dreams yet to come.

I loved your scarf!
Great post!
All the best,
Eileen

The scarf you made looks so pretty being modelled by dear Katie. You can sew now, congratulations. What will you being making next?
I am still not ready! I fear I will still be getting ready on Christmas Eve just like you!

That scarf is adorable! I wish I'd learned how to sew... (If I had room for a sewing machine, I'd take the plunge. For now, I'll stick to admiring your handiwork!)
