About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Homeschooling at Starbucks

One of the joys of home schooling is being able to learn wherever and whenever we like.  Today we took a field trip, of sorts, to Starbucks.  The girls packed up their back packs..

   including their Nintendo's.:)

We brought the current book that we are studying as part of our English curriculum.  I am enjoying it, but the girls- not so much.  sigh...  Well, anything is fun at Starbucks!

We all chose our favorite beverages.  Mandy really enjoys the "Naked" brand of juice and all the nutrition that it provides.  Plus, she tells me that it tastes great (except the Protein one- yuck).

   Katie loves the chocolate milk...

and I really enjoy their Shaken Iced Tea Lemonade- mmmm...  Heather- it's almost as good as Mountain Dew!:)

There were two chocolate cupcakes left!  But not for long.:)

Hi Lori-- it's me again :) I just left you another comment as well, and forgot to mention this.... You had asked about Coraline...well, my daughter and husband went and I didn't. My daughter is 11 and absolutely LOVED it,and wants to go again really bad. My husband loved it too and said he's go again as well. He did say there were a few parts that were sort of scary because of witches and ghosts, other than that, it isn't too scary or bad. But, some of our friends/neighbors took their 5 year old daughter, and she got pretty scared three different times during the movie they said. My husband also said it was amazing and to be sure to go to the 3-D version if it's offered at your movie theater. It might cost a tad more, but he said definitely worth it! Hope this helps :)

Looks like you guys had a great time... The cupcakes look great but I'm telling you what...I've never tasted ANYTHING better then the gluten free chocolate cupcakes I made the other day-Unreal how perfect they are! Even if I could eat flour I wouldn't because these cupcakes are AMAZING! I wish you could taste one...
Have a great weekend! How's the book coming along? I'm reading Pride a Prejudice right now.

Hi Lori
Your field trip sounds great. Reading books and enjoying Starbucks sounds wonderful. I will not be letting Jessica see this post. Homeschooling is becoming very attractive to her just recently!
Your lovely package arrived today. Thank you so much. I will try to e-mail later. It's not been working most of the day.
Have a great weekend.
