About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Orange-Green Belt!

   Mandy tested last night and earned her orange-green belt!  Great job, Mandy!  Now she will be doing karate with weapons (bow staff and nunchucks).  She is excited, but I'm not ready for this big step...  Will I ever be, though?

Ohhh Grasshopper... Very good!
Nunchucks are fun! My husband can use them really well and he is fun to watch while he is using them because he makes all sorts of kungfu noises! Tell Mandy congratulations that is a huge accomplishment! She looks cute in her Gee (Isn't that what the Karate outfit is called? It's been so long since my kids were in Karate)
CONGRATS MANDY!

Robin- You cracked me up with the "grasshopper" comment!:-) Thanks for correcting my spelling, too. I have no idea what those things (nunchucks) are called! Now I won't look silly when we talk about it in public.:-) Lori

You're a very brave woman! I just couldn't bring myself to purposely give my kids weapons especially since they would practice on each other! LOL! Congrats to Mandy--and Mom!

Way to go Mandy! There is nothing wrong with learning self-defense. Something I hope Sydney and I do someday :0}

I wish Hunter would have stuck with Tae Kwan do {spell?}.
